I understand not every Mother learns best in a group setting. An individual Prenatal Meeting helps us build a foundation for breastfeeding specific to you, and also have time to address any concerns you may have. We will discuss the basic foundation of breastfeeding, what to expect those first few days, hand expression, the importance of skin to skin, and what to have ready for feeding when baby is born. I will help set up any equipment you may have for breastfeeding (this is a great time to learn to use your pump). If you plan on going back to work, we can also set guidelines for what you may need to prepare for that time. Most importantly, this meeting establishes a relationship between you and I. Breastfeeding is a journey, and I want to support you in every way I can. Included with this is also unlimited texting and email with any feeding questions you may have until baby is born.
